Socials Director

1. Foster a community within the Newman Center by hosting social events and coordinating regular sports.

2. Plan at least (if not two) excellent social events per term.

3. Encourage community members to bring new friends to these events as a form of outreach/evangelism. 

4. Plan, publicize, and execute social events.

5. Work with communications team to publicize. 

6. Work with Newman staff to coordinate space, materials, and budget for events.

7. May need to work with St. Mary’s staff if events are hosted there.

8. Develop a team of students to help plan and carry out events.

9. Plan, invite, and coordinate regular sports events for men and women. 

10. Use personal influence to foster a culture of true friendship at Newman.

11. Pay particular attention to those who are on the edges of the community or may have no friends. 

12. Actively welcome newcomers at events, introducing them to people to make them more comfortable.

13. Pray for the fruits of the ministry and for life-long, Christ-centered friendships to flourish at Newman.
