Our conference is aimed at serving Catholic college students. If you come from a Protestant background, please contact us at gofish@osunewman.org. We will assess whether GoFish is the right fit for you. If you are a current non-catholic student at Oregon State University, we urge you to check out our other programs here.
If you are an alumni of OSU, there is a registration waitlist for alumni. If spots are not filled by current Catholic students, we will open the waitlist to alumni.

Living on God’s Logic
“Since we belong to the day, let us put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.”
(1 Thessalonians 5:8)
What if the deepest meaning of life cannot be grasped by calculation, success, or self-assertion, but only by trust, surrender, and love? This year at GoFish, we will explore the theological virtues —faith, hope, and charity— as the very logic by which God invites us to live and think.
Rooted in Who God is, and infused at our baptism, these virtues reshape how we see reality, face suffering, and relate to others. We will rediscover how faith opens our eyes, hope anchors our future, and charity draws us into a life patterned not by the world’s standards, but by God’s
Father Ignacio Llorente is a priest of the Saint John Society. and pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Portland, Oregon. He holds advanced degrees in philosophy and theology and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Sacred Theology. He is the co-author of Sent Forth: Handbook for a Missionary Church.
Fr. Ignacio has served as Chaplain of the Newman Center at Oregon State University (Corvallis, Oregon), pastor of St. Patrick Parish (Portland, Oregon) and pastor of Saint Mary’s Parish (Corvallis, Oregon).
As pastor of St. Michael Parish, he works with young professionals and adults in SJS evangelization programs and helps lead the San Juan Diego program. He is also guiding the development of the SJS Pastoral Center in West Linn, Oregon.
2026 Keynoter - Fr. Ignacio Llorente
Fr. Aaron Stettler grew up in a military family and lived in seven different places growing up. He attended Oregon State University to study nuclear engineering in the Navy ROTC program. It was there that he was invited to the Fragua retreat organized by the Saint John Society. This experience changed his life.
With time, he felt the call to be a missionary priest in the Saint John Society. He went to Argentina after graduating college, and he loved it so much that he asked to study philosophy there. He was then sent to Washington D.C. to study theology and was ordained in Dec. 2021 alongside Fr. John Poodts.
Since then, he has been in Portland, OR, where he serves at the PDX Newman Center, in the Cenaculo program, and in San Juan Diego Youth. For him, every day is an adventure serving the Lord!
2026 Keynoter - Fr. Aaron Stettler
2026 Keynoter - Sr. Teresa Harrell
Sister Teresa Harrell is a member of the Society of Mary, consecrated missionary Sisters dedicated to the New Evangelization who work with the Saint John Society in their programs of New Evangelization.
While in grad school at Oregon State, she encountered Jesus alive in the Eucharist and entered the Church in 2002. She served in campus ministry at Oregon State University for several years before entering the Society of Mary in 2008, and was campus minister at PDX Newman from 2014-2020.
She is currently serving at St. Michael the Archangel in downtown Portland, Oregon, where (among other things) she directs the Mercy Mission program, which combines her passion for forming young adults and her love for bringing God's mercy to those who are suffering. She completed undergraduate studies in English and philosophy, Master's degrees in English and Theology, and is currently working on a Doctorate in Ministry.

Testimonies
“As a recent convert to Catholicism, GoFish could not have come at any more of a perfect time. Gathering among people from all over Oregon who share my love and zeal for Christ could not have been more of a blessing. I saw God work so much through all of these people, whether during the activities or after and during Adoration, God's presence was alive and there with us. Seeing how God was working in each of our lives and the joy of Christ radiating from every person at the conference was so beautiful. It made me fall more and more in love with the beauty that is the Catholic Church.”
- Dusay Fields
“Each GoFish Conference has a long-anticipated, especially intimate Holy Hour when we adore our Lord as one Body. This moment of prayer has provided lasting fruit every year, including vocational callings and deep conversions of heart. This year (2025) was no different; sin was amended and lives changed, all by the true presence of our Lord God, Jesus Christ. What a gift it was to help make these Holy things possible, that the Lord would use a lowly servant for such.”
