OCIA at NEWMAN
“You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
- St. Augustine
What is OCIA?
The OCIA program is a year-long course offered by the OSU Newman Center that walks participants through the beliefs and practices of the Catholic Church. This course is designed for those seeking to enter the Catholic Church, but begins with an exploratory period where participants can ask questions and discern whether they will take the next step and enter the Church. OCIA stands for the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults.
OCIA meets Thursdays from 6-7:30 PM
beginning on October 15th at the Newman Center
Note: Filling the interest form is not a commitment to join the Roman Catholic Church. The first section of the course is an inquiry period open to those who want to learn more and are discerning the possibility of becoming Catholic.
If you are an adult or a non-student please contact St. Mary's Parish for information on their OCIA program.
