For this month's Work of Mercy, we will be spending time with the participants of Grace Center. Grace Center is an adult day service center which specializes in memory care, mental disability, and post-rehabilitation. We have the privilege to bring some light into the participants' day by providing some form of entertainment and interaction.

Depending on how many people are available, and what skills/talents we have among us, we will come up with an main activity for their day. Some potential ideas include: a talent show, lip sync performance, musical performance, etc. Your hearts will be warmed by the smiles of the participants, and although we go to serve them, I guarantee you'll receive just as much joy.

Because they're only open on weekdays, our day with them is Monday April 30th from 1:30-2:30. I'm aware this may be a difficult time for some people, but for whoever is available or can make time, please join!! Day of the event, meet at the NC at 1:00 for getting into carpools; arrive at Grace Center at 1:15 to set up; perform and socialize until 2:30; head back to Newman.

Sign up on the sign up sheets posted in the Newman Center, and next to your name write what talents you want to share, and what day is good for you to practice beforehand. A couple of weeks before the event, I'll be posting more information regarding the type of performance we'll be putting on and a practice time(s).
