SPIRITUAL INSANITY

Lent is a time of GRACE in the Church. 40 days to prepare for Easter. 40 days to grow in prayer life. 40 days to become free from sin. 40 days of intense spiritual WORK OUT. For this reason, we offer you the possibility of begin a SPIRITUAL PROGRAM.

This program WILL HELP YOU:
- Help you overcome your dominant sin
- Develop a habit of daily prayer life
- Prepare you for a great Easter

How does this program work?

EVERY WEEK:
• 10 MIN. OF PERSONAL COACHING with spiritual coach.
• SPIRITUAL EXERCISE AND SPIRITUAL READING (one for each week)
EVERY DAY (Monday to Friday)
- 10 minutes of prayer with the bible in the morning
- 10 minutes of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the Evening.

At the beginning of the week you receive the instructions for every week.

Ash Wednesday Masses

Masses at St. Mary’s will be at 8:00 a.m. / 12:15 p.m. / 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at the Newman Center Chapel at 12:05 p.m. Also, a confession service will be held at the Newman Center from 1:30-5:00 p.m.

Fragua 12

Before I began my journey on Fragua 12, I considered myself
a strong Catholic. I went to church every Sunday and would pray daily. Beginning
my college experience I was very lonely and wanted to find friends that I could
share my faith with. Therefore with suggestions from my sisters who have all
been on Fragua, I attended the course. During this time I learned a lot about
my faith and met people who were going through the same situations that I was.
The highlight of Fragua 12 was definitely the retreat. It was a time where I
could focus strictly on my relationship with Jesus and discover who the Holy
Spirit is and how it relates to my life. After the ten weeks of Fragua, I have
had a deeper knowledge of my faith and my relationship with my family and
friends have grown. I am now experiencing life in a new light and along the way
have a community to support me.

Apologetic Series
The first event in the start of an Apologetic Series will be Thursday Jan 16th at 9pm. Join in group discussion and a talk from Fr. Ignacio about relevant topics that YOU selected!

Many people these days just don’t understand the Christian message-

Many Christians are afraid to engage in the conversation-

Many don’t know how, or what to say-

By not engaging, we lose the battle-

What kinds of questions to ask?

*ANYTHING- the only wrong question is that one not asked.

*The question that you don’t want to ask because you feel like you ’should’ know the answer

*The why we believe this or that in the Catholic Church

*Questions that your friends ask you and you know the answer but don’t know how to explain so they understand

We will be answering from the questions submitted. Make sure that you submit your question before Jan 10th.

Fragua course will begin Jan 24th

When: Every Tuesday starting Jan 24th from 6:30-8pm

Where: First one at the MU Basement, all others will meet at the Newman Center

Start saving the date for the Retreat: March 2-4

Fragua is a great way to learn more about the Catholic faith. The great thing about the Fragua is that after learning more about the faith you get to EXPERIENCE IT!

Requirements: Desire to learn! you can be strong on your faith of not even have a faith to participate. You only need to want to fing the TRUTH!

The fragua course is a 10 week introduction to the Catholic Faith.

For 10 weeks we meet to HAVE FREE DINNER, HEAR AN INTERESTING TALK, FOLLOWED BY FAITH SHARING.

The First fragua course meeting is October 4th at 6:30 pm in the basement of the MU (MU bowling)

The fragua course is a great way to connect with new people and to grow in your faith.
